CHEUNG, Pui Yin Chan, 78, of Richmond, died Friday, December 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Stephen S. Cheung; and her daughter, Jacqueline Ann Cheung. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Cheung Moore (Mike) and Frances May Cheung (Jeff Haigney); and one grandchild, Avery Sophia Haigney. Pui Yin is also survived by brothers, Ying-Mu Chan (Eunice) and Ying-Luke Chen (Eva). She received her medical degree and practiced as an OB-GYN in Hong Kong, China. Pui Yin came to the U.S. in 1961 and became a citizen. In later years, she worked as a medical technician at the Chesterfield County Department of Health. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had many friends. Her smile will live on in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Flowers would be appreciated or contributions may be made to the Saint Francis Home, 65 W. Clopton St., Richmond, Va. 23225, or to the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, 1506 Willow Lawn Dr., Suite 212, Richmond, Va. 23230.
