PUI CHEUNG

CHEUNG, Pui Yin Chan, 78, of Richmond, died Friday, December 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Stephen S. Cheung; and her daughter, Jacqueline Ann Cheung. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Cheung Moore (Mike) and Frances May Cheung (Jeff Haigney); and one grandchild, Avery Sophia Haigney. Pui Yin is also survived by brothers, Ying-Mu Chan (Eunice) and Ying-Luke Chen (Eva). She received her medical degree and practiced as an OB-GYN in Hong Kong, China. Pui Yin came to the U.S. in 1961 and became a citizen. In later years, she worked as a medical technician at the Chesterfield County Department of Health. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had many friends. Her smile will live on in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
