Purnecy "Pruny" Heusinger

PURNECY "PRUNY" HEUSINGER
November 30, 1937 - November 4, 2024
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Pruny moved to San Antonio at age 12 to live with her aunt and uncle, a turning point of her life. A graduate of Jefferson High School, she was employed by USAA and was Miss San Antonio 1957. In 1959 she met the love of her life, Edward Heusinger. They were very active and devoted to St. Peter Prince of the Apostles School. Pruny was a wonderful homemaker, fantastic cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She later started a business, Renovations by Heusinger, with her daughter. Pruny was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Edward; Catherine and George Rees (her aunt and uncle), Mary Davis (her mother), Cecilia Resendez and MaryAnn Jarrell (her sisters) and Andrew Heusinger (her grandson). She is survived by her children, Rose Marie (Chris Nellis) and Patrick; grandchildren: Danny, Adriana, Brendan, Anise, Colette, Chloe, PJ, Michael and Emma; great-grandchildren: Cason, Zayn and Liam; sister, Dorthy Schramm and brother, Tom Davis.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 20 at 5:00pm in The Angelus Chapel with Rosary at 7:00pm. Mass will be offered Thursday, November 21 at 1:00pm, St. Mary's Catholic Church Downtown. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.Full obituary at www.theangelusfuneralhome.com
