Purvis "Jim" Ferree, Jr.

Dear Karen and Randy I only learned today of Jim´s passing and and send to you and all your beautiful family that Jim loved so much, my heartfelt sympathy. The wonderful memories of Jim shared by Herman all of his life were those of joy, respect, and love for this very special man. Condolences to the Ferree family. Jim was a true ambassador to the game of golf and life.

Mr. Ferree was a true gentleman. I had the honor and pleasure of playing in a Pro-Am event with him as a partner more than tweny-five years ago. Amazingly, he always remembered my name and we continued to laugh about my terrible golf swing for years. I count his wife, Karen, as a friend and I respected and admired their relationship and marriage. Fair winds and following seas Mr. Ferree. I was lucky to know you.

What a super human being and a great golfer. I first met him at The Vantage when he overheard me say my dad was "Jelly" Bennett. "Son, I played with your father while we grew up in WS." Dearest KAREN AND RANDY: We were so saddened to read of Jim's passing. He was a true mensch and exuded ahavath chesed to all he encountered.
