Quentin (Chuck) C. Epaul, Sr., 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Carlos and Rita (Willett) Epaul.  He moved to Westfield in 1956 where he and his wife raised their family. He moved to Agawam in 2019. He enjoyed many years of family vacations and traveling with his wife. He cherished spending time with loved ones, including family dinners, special occasions, picnics, and impromptu gatherings. Quentin worked as a railroad conductor for over 40 years for CSX Railroad, retiring in 1993.  He was an army veteran of the Korean War, and a past exalted ruler of the West Springfield Lodge of Elks.  His wife, Philomena (Misischia) Epaul died on September 10, 2022.  He leaves three sons, Quentin C. Epaul, Jr. and his wife Diane, of Feeding Hills, Michael V. Epaul and his wife Joanne, of Springfield, Richard A. Epaul and his wife Kathleen, of Woodstock, CT, a daughter, Christine P. Demers and her partner Dan Bishop, of Chicopee and ten grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  The funeral will be Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street, followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday July 5th from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Baystate Health in memory of Quentin C. Epaul, Sr. at baystatehealth.org/giving.

As a friend of Chuck from 1953 when we trained together in boot camp during the Korean War, then having continued our friendship locally over the years, including having maintained many happy memories of time spent with not only Chuck, but his lovely wife, Phyllis, and their four children, my wife and I are saddened to learn of Chuck’s passing.

Chuck was Avery nice person always very polite to me I new him through his wife who use to work with me at Costco, always had a smile on his face my sympathy to his family may he rest in peace with his wife Amen
