Not sure what to say?

Just today learned of Quentin's passing in 2018. My deepest sympathies are with his family and I know they continue to mourn his death. Quentin played bass for me for several years at various venues around Louisville and at the Marriott. His musicianship was impeccable but, more than that, his good nature, positivity, and great sense of humor always made the gig enjoyable - on the stand and during breaks. His big heart always showed in our many conversations. He loved people and was...

I am the son of Quentin's half sister, Wanda Rae Sharpe McKinley. Because Wanda passed away when we were young and we lived in California, I was never introduced to Quentin to my memory. So sorry to hear about the loss of Quentin. God bless you.

I cant believe it has been a year since Quentin left us. He was such a wonderful person and a bright light in all of our lives. I miss him and think of him and you Paula, and Jessica at this time. Peace to you

I knew Quentin in the USMA Band back in the 60's and he was a very dear friend of mine. We had lots of great times there and later my wife and I also visited him and Paula at many of the USMA Band reunions where we both played many concerts together. Our most heartfelt condolences go out to his wonderful wife Paula and his children. His happy face and disposition will be greatly missed.

To Paula & Family: My sincerest condolences to all of you. I had the pleasure of meeting Quentin and very much enjoyed his music. He was such a wonderful person and he will be dearly missed. Zee Eveslage

I'm so saddened to hear of Quentin's passing. He was a great musician, and a dear friend and colleague for nearly 40 years. We shared many laughs and musical phrases during my annual trips to Louisville, and he will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, old friend.

Paula, I want to express my sympathy to you on the loss of your husband. Prayers for you and family.

A one of a kind! Q's mind ran on many tracks at once, with one an express to funnytown.

Few know that we made him an honorary Texan. Even though he owned no cattle and rode no horse, he stood tall and blew his own horn.

Had I known he was going to go and do this, I would have given him a much harder time on my last visit.

Oh well, I will have my Artist Award to remember him by. Miss you Bro.
