Quincy David Brown Jr., retired musician and security guard, entered rest Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Greater North Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1500 Swift St. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at historic Baker Funeral Home.
Quincy D. Brown was a backup guitarist for bands worldwide. Locally, he was bass guitarist for Lady Pearl BTA Band for many years.
Survivors: His wife and soul mate, "Sweet" Shirley Brown; son, Quincy David Brown III (Juli); eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Young; brother-in-law, Isiah Wilson; godchild, Phyllis Bolar; and cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

God never makes a mistake, we have to submit to His will and His way. Look to Him for comfort in this hour of sorrow and He will direct your path. Qunicy will be missed, playing in the band, however, he will be in the Heavenly Kingdom Band , Shirley, and family you will see him again on the other side and laugh like you did before.
