Quincy David Brown Jr., retired musician and security guard, entered rest Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Greater North Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1500 Swift St. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at historic Baker Funeral Home.
Quincy D. Brown was a backup guitarist for bands worldwide. Locally, he was bass guitarist for Lady Pearl BTA Band for many years.
Survivors: His wife and soul mate, "Sweet" Shirley Brown; son, Quincy David Brown III (Juli); eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Young; brother-in-law, Isiah Wilson; godchild, Phyllis Bolar; and cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
