Quincy Adam O’Gorman, 23, of Island Pond, VT passed away suddenly on January 1, 2017 in Island Pond. He was born on August 17, 1993 in Newport, VT to Kim (Hackett) Moore and the late Mark O’Gorman.



 



Quincy graduated from North Country Union High School in the class of 2011 and attended Johnson State College. He was a construction worker, handyman and did some catering work.   Among his hobbies he enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, traveling, and loved the outdoors. He loved playing Football on the N.C. U.H.S. Football Team, he was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan and enjoyed spending time with his buddies.



 



He is survived by his mother Kim Moore and step father Robert Moore of Brownington, VT, by his siblings: Michael O’Gorman of CA, Dalton Moore, Michael Moore, Michelle Moore all of Brownington, VT, by his girlfriend, Alexa Williams of Johnson, VT, by his paternal grandmother Muriel O’Gorman of Island Pond, VT, maternal grandparents: Anthony and Shirley Hackett of Oxford, ME, and step grandparents Michael and Lesley Moore of Brownington, VT, by his Aunts and Uncles: Alson and Kathy Kinney of Island Pond, VT, Timmy and Becky Hackett of Goose Creek, SC, Anthony and Cheryl Hackett of Brownington, VT, Valerie Hackett Bryant Pond, ME, Carol and Raymond Santaw of Island Pond, Christine Forgues and fiancé Chris Briggs of ST. Johnsbury, VT, Billie Jo and Gordon Tice of Derby, VT, and Candy Baraw of Craftsbury, VT and by numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father Mark O’Gorman on May 7, 2007, and by his cousin Taini Kinney on June 8, 2004.



 



Friends may call from 6-10 P.M. on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport where funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday January 11, 2017 with Rev. Timothy Ingalls and Rev. Judy Castonguay co-officiating. Spring interment in Lakeside Cemetery, Island Pond, VT.
