Hambrick Family Mortuary Obituary

I heard a voice from high saying, “Come, come and rest from your labor,” so without
hesitation I answered the call.

Quincy, affectionately known as “Q-Tip,” transitioned from his earthly home to his
heavenly home on July 3, 2025, at his home.

Quincy was an entrepreneur of T and Q Transports. He was loved by everyone; if he
could help you, he would. Quincy was born on August 17, 1975, to the parentage of                                                                                      Gretchen and Willie Wilson,Jr.

He was baptized at an early age by Pastor Leroy Thompson of Word of Life Christian
Center.

On January 9, 2021, he married the love of his life, Tyrra Thompson. To the union of this
marriage, they became a blended family of eight children, Tia (Larry) Washington of
Convent, LA, Deyy’von Lucas of Darrow, LA, Quin’daisha Wilson and Kennedy Duckett
of Denison, TX, Quindell Wilson and Quade Smith of Baton Rouge, LA, and Annjaleika
and Tyras Thompson of Gonzales, LA; and eight grandchildren, Ayden Butler, Lameer
and Lai’on Washington, Melody Frisbe, Semaaj Taylour, Truu Thompson, and Amyrii
Draten.

He also leaves to cherish his memories: his other, Gretchen Dorsey Wilson; father,
Willie Wilson, Jr. (Maxine); two sisters, Felicia Fisher of Baton Rouge, LA, and Debra
Buchanan of Thibodaux, LA; two brothers, Ricky Wilson of Darrow, LA, and Marice
Wilson of Sunshine, LA; special nephew, Taylin Wilson of St. Gabriel, LA; godchild,
Brian Janae Russell of Darrow, LA; and he is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and
other family and friends.

Quincy was preceded in death by his son, Qua’various Wilson; sister, Shana Wilson;
paternal grandparents, Willie Wilson, Sr., and Irma (Mutt) Shields; maternal
grandparents, Robert and Irene McNeil Dorsey; and godparents, Cynthia Dugot and
Edmond Joseph.
