Not sure what to say?

I worked with The Judge (as he preferred to be called) at V&E in DC in the early to mid 1990s. To say he was a colorful character would be a woeful understatement. At the same time, he was a good man with a big heart and always had time to share an amusing story and a smile. Very sorry to hear of his passing. RIP, Judge Ayers, and deepest condolences to your family.

Glen had more positive impact on me as a student at St. Mary's Law School, than any other professor. I regret not keeping in touch with him more, and letting him know how much I learned from him, not just about law, but about life. We had great parties at his and Jan's house during law school, and I have only fond memories of Glen. Bryan Bruner

My heartfelt condolences to Jan and the rest of Glen's family. He was one of my favorite professors at St. Mary's University School of Law and I think I took every course he taught. Glen helped me get a clerkship with the Oppenheimer Firm and I was pleased when he was appointed Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District. I know I speak for a lot of his former students when I say how much we will miss him.

I will miss his big smile as well as his many stories, whether dealing with the law, hunting, or politics.

Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the Honorable R. Glen Ayers during this difficult time. He was our beloved Chief Judge at the start of our careers at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court from 1985 1988. We were blessed to serve at his pleasure and to be regarded fondly by him all of these years. We're certain he will rest in peace and experience the eternal glory of God's Kingdom.
