Wish I got the chance to meet him

Shocked to hear of Chris's passing. I met him in New Orleans in the early 1980s and he became a life long friend. I dont think we missed an annual telephone call, since.

Chris never forgot he was an archaeologist. when push came to shove the resource mattered. We shall not see his like again

Chris was a larger than life individual that had a very easy way about him. I was influenced by Chris early in my career, and I often think back to those days. I wish condolences to the family, and now that wherever Chris is, there is probably a Second Line nearby.

So saddened about Chris´ passing. He will be missed. Condolences to all family and friends.

My heart is definitely heavy after I got a text from his family saying to call them. Chris hired me to be his landscaper to do clearing and it didn´t stop there, we did many jobs for Him, we did mowing, mulching, fertilizer applications and more. Over that short time span he was no longer a customer in my book, he was my buddy, a father I wish I had and a mentor who we both called atleast once a week to see how things were going and just chat. Godspeed, Chris! You´ve been a good, interesting, and, if I may, larger than life friend for over 30 years. Your loss is felt by all who knew you, most acutely, I´m sure, by your family, to whom I extend deepest sympathies.

Chris was accomplished professionally and personally. When I had the good fortune to be with him, there was never a dull moment. Honored to call him a friend.
