Not sure what to say?

Mr. Waugh was our principal when I attended Orchard Middle School in Solon, from 1982 to 1983. He could be very strict if you were bad, and very kind and gracious when you were good. I am sorry to hear about his passing. He was a fantastic person.

Hello Waugh family,
It's been a long time since I have seen you but my Mom and Dad received a note about Mr. Waugh's death and I am sincerely sorry to hear this news. I remember him fondly when he used to supervise the Sussex Elementary playground during the summers when I was young. I am now a teacher in Woodville, Ohio. My condolences to your family.

Dear Joyce: We are saddened to hear of John's passing. He was an all around "good guy". We remember how supportive he was of Kim in her education and work years. Dick and Mary Jane White

Dear Joyce:

Bob and I were shocked and saddened to her about John's passing. While we haven't seen him in many years, we have fond memories of him when we lived in Shaker. Our best to you, Amy and your grandchildren.

I remember Mr. Waugh from sixth grade at Mercer School in Shaker Heights. All of the sixth grade girls had a crush on him and his stripped bell bottom pants. It is strange what you remember about people. On a serious note, John was a great teacher and had allot of respect from the kids, teachers and parents. I am sorry abut your loss.

I am sorry for your loss. I saw Mr. Waugh's picture in the Metro obits section and recognized him as my former elementary school principle in the mid-80s at Orchard Middle School in Solon. I did not know him very long but appreciated his service to the Solon Schools.

Dear Waugh Family,

At last my Kami can meet up with Mr. Waugh, in heaven to let him know that she became a teachers aide in FL.

He was the first Principal in Solon to help her with her acceptance into Main Stream Schooling. (She was in a wheelchair and had MD.) What a wonderful job he did. It was a priviledge to have known him.

Our heartfelt sympathy to you.
