NEW HAVEN — R. Eugene "Weavie" Weaver, 79, passed into the next life on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014. He was born Jan. 7, 1935, in New Haven, to the late Ray W. and Evelyn Gibbs Weaver.

I am saddened by the lose of a long time friend. I didn't see him very often over the past sixty years, but it was always a pleasure when I did. My prayers go out to Marilyn and the rest of their family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget how good Eugene was to me, all the fun times we had, he was a great provider, golfer and friend, he loved washing those cars, dressing up to go golfing, and socializing at breakfast at Mcdonalds, he taught me to work hard, and taught me how to be responsible as a young teenage boy, I will miss him and today I also share joy knowing he is in Heaven rejoicing with his Mom and Dad and many others...
