At one point in my early life, Doug was a brother to me. Later he remained the brother I would have chosen if given the chance. Early times with him at Cornell turned into midlife gatherings in Dunwoody while travels were part of our shared lives in retirement (to Hilton Head, to our mountain cabin, and even to Germany). I learned never to play trivia with Doug. You didn't stand a chance. His humor and gusto for life will be missed. I knew him through many years at Dunwoody Rotary also many years of baseball at Murphy Candler Park.
