Not sure what to say?

Like many posting here, I too was a JJ Pearce physics student of hers and was transformed for the rest of my life by my time with her those years. She was for me, at a time in life when things were becoming very difficult and hopeless, there to provide me some light and a change in perspective that enabled me to find direction. I can´t say enough about her kindness and compassion that others here are likewise echoing and I can´t express the words to capture the loss we all have at her...

Mrs. Faubion was an absolute inspiration to me and remains the most influential teacher in my 19 years of schooling. From laughing at our Monte Python jokes in class to teaching me that a car does slow down when a fly hits it, she has stuck with me for 36 years past our time together in class and will forever. She was strong and fair -- we were a handful I am sure. So sad to hear this news. I was telling my adult kiddos just a month ago about the fly slowing the car physics fact.
Her...

Mrs Faubian was my physics teacher at JJP in 1982-83 and I have very fond and fun memories of her and her class. Im grateful for her service as an amazing teacher - she put so much extra into her classes and tests I could never finish that were peppered with Alice in Wonderland riddles and had problems that ended where Penelope Pitstop was not rescued in time by the Ant Hill gang. Im so sad to hear of her passing, but know I will see her again one day. She was absolutely my favorite teacher...

A rock of organization and perseverance during the Haiti crisis.

Rachael was a gift of Gods grace to me and for so many others! Im grateful that our paths crossed!

Laura and I were so saddened to learn of Rachael's passing. She and Pat are dear friends and Rachael was especially generous with advice as we moved our children back to Dallas and into the Highland Park schools. We will certainly miss our friendly encounters with her at United Way gatherings. Our prayers are with Pat and the entire Faubion family during the difficult time.

My heart is broken for the Faubion family. I worked with Pat at Comerica and had the pleasure of meeting Rachael several times. She was a very special lady. Pat, may God comfort you and your boys in your time of grief. May Rachael rest now in the arms of Jesus.

Her obituary is too short ! I remember Rachaels bravery and grit through her big battle with breast cancer and how fragile we all realized she was at that time, and how she came back roaring and shining her love like a lighthouse in all directions ! And no one has even mentioned her being the lead teacher of confirmation and shaping hundreds (perhaps thousands?) of young Christians in our congregation. Each week on Sunday, the kids didnt have to be dragged to church, because they were eager...

Rachael and Pat mean a lot to me. When I moved to Dallas, they were very good to me. I spent a lot of time with their family when the boys were little. Rachael was a strong person and I appreciated her toughness. My condolences to Pat, John and Mark.
