Rachel Brickman

So sad to hear this news. I'm from Dexter, MI but went to private school so I did not meet Rachel until we both attended Sarah Lawrence College together. Rachel was super smart and lots of fun. We fell out of touch after SLC but from what I've read here she has not unsurprisingly made good use of her time, fighting the good fight for the good things for good hard-working people. Onward, Brickman. I'm glad I knew you. You will be missed.

I met Rachel in graduate school. She was not only the smartest person in class, but also the wisest. We got to teach together at Hamilton Heights Academy and she knew absolutely everything. Not only about books-boy, did she know books-but also life. After I had a baby she taught me how to breastfeed, and pump, and balance the whole deal with teaching full time.
