Rachel was born on August 4, 1992 and passed away in September 2017. Rachel was a resident of Normal, Illinois at the time of passing. Rachel graduated from Normal Community West High School 2011 where she was co-captain of the swim team. Her memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-7:00 Wednesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Inurnment will be at 1:00 PM Thursday September 21, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Carterville, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to her family for a scholarship fund to be named later date.
Miss Dean was my gym teacher I love her to death when I first met her she was fun when I found out she passed away it broke my heart rip miss Dean love u with all my heart.

I only knew Rachel for 5 short weeks but grew to love her in that short period of time. I was a coworker and a mentor to Rachel. Rachel will be missed and I know that she was loved by many. Rachel was such a great teacher from the beginning and also shared with me her love for swimming.
