Rachel Gonzalez

Rachel (Villegas) Gonzalez lived in Whittier, CA for 30 years and passed away
on March 13th, 2021.
Rachel was born in Tijuana, Mexico on May 2nd, 1960. She Immigrated to
California with her parents Genaro and Victoria Villegas and her siblings about a
year later. She had very fond memories of growing up with her brothers and sisters at
the family home on Sadler Ave. She was very active during her years at Schurr
High School where she was 1st runner up for homecoming queen, class secretary, and
the yearbook committee her senior year. She was also athletic and played multiple
sports. She was well liked and made many life long friends.
Rachel was very artistic and creative. She greatly enjoyed helping her daughters
and grandchildren with school projects and birthday parties. She was always there
when needed. She was also always excited to attend her grandchildren's sporting
events and school functions. Always cheering from the stands. Rachel cared for and
deeply loved al of her family and extended family. She was often mother to some
and friend to all. She, along with her husband Armando, always found a way to
help those in need.
Rachel is survived by her eldest daughter, Melissa, and her husband of 29years,
Armando Gonzalez. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren. Rachel
blessed us al with 60 years of her life and is now with her youngest daughter,
Elizabeth, at their final resting place with God.
