Not sure what to say?

Oh, Dr. Harley, thank you so very much for the impact you made on my life..Helping me to stay in school and inspiring me in so very many ways... I love you and will miss you... Love, Jeffrey

Rachel was my closest friend and roommate during our first year of doctoral studies at the U of Michigan 1965-1966. I was fresh out of Brooklyn N.Y. and had never met anyone from the South. It was a delightful linguistic and personal encounter. i was coming back to the university after a 13 year hiatus and had lots of catching up to do. Rachel's lemon chess pies helped me keep my sanity during many a dark moment. The following year Ted Harley came into her life and we moved on to separate...

Rachel was my dear friend, scrabble player, EMU basketball game partner, and tea time pal.

Neighbors for over six years, I enjoyed the company and advise from this wise woman who lived life. My children and I spent hours laughing, learning and being inspired.

Elizabeth , Sean and family...know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rachel, thank you for always making a difference. Thank you for always being there.

I'll remember you forever...

Oh my God. I just learned of her passing today...March 17. Rachel was a great friend and we missed her for the last 4 years when we had to stop traveling to attend a Master's program. We had no idea she was ill, and I kept thinking we hadn't heard from her and...oh, I should have called. Rachel...thank you for you and I pray you're having a helluva journey with your soul mate. We love you.

Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

Rachel and her late husband Ted were among the loveliest and most hospitable people I have known. Great connoisseurs of a wide range of music, generous and welcoming hosts (Rachel's culinary skills were superb, her scratch biscuits legendary) and affectionate cat parents. Memories of times spent with them are treasured. I can still hear Rachel's charming Virginia drawl. Godspeed! Please let me know when the celebration of life will take place.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. With sincere condolences. - Psalms 116:15

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope be with you now in your time of sorrows. Please read 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17

My condolences to the family at this very difficult time. May the God of all comfort bring you comfort and may the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus at John 6:40 strengthen you and bring you hope for the future.
