It was the late 60's when I was at East High and met "Angie's mother", Mrs. Noel. I still recall how amazed I was that someone's mother was so celebrated, such an activist and such a strong woman. Some years later when I was living in New Jersey, working for the Girl Scouts, I again heard colleagues talking about Rachel Noel who was then active nationally.
