Dear Michael, Roy, Melba, Scott and Sean, family and friends:

I just learned today of this horrific tragedy. Mark and Shelly will be missed terribly. Shelly and Mark always opened their door to me and our family. I am so glad I saw them last year at our family reunion in Houston. They were both caring and special individuals. Please let us know if we do anything to help you during this difficult time.

Love, Mark and Julie Leider

Rita & Mr.and Mrs. Gordon-There are no words only our most profound sympathy. After having been friends with Rita for 20 years and hearing about both of you and of Mark & Shelly and their families we felt a special connection. We will be here for Rita if she needs anything. As the Gordons ski instructor i shared many happy times with them, thats how i will remember them. Mark and myself shared the same birthday and spent it together many times.I will have a drink with you every year.
God speed.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Gordon, and Rita,

Mark and Shelly were amazing friends to me and my husband through my brother and sister-in-law, Mark Balloff and Judith Balloff Gelpey. As a part of the extended "Rudy's Raider's" family, we had the pleasure of knowing them and sharing many family milestones for the last 35 years! They traveled to Tennessee and Florida to join us for a multitude of our family's milestone events. We loved them as siblings, and we are so saddened by their...

We are thinking of you all... I went on Man and His Land Expeditions with Mark. I was about 13 and he was about 14. He was good at EVERYTHING! He was the best mountain climber and backpacker, and the best friend. He always found a way to encourage those of us who were not blessed with his physical attributes and ability...in other words me and perhaps less so --almost everyone else...
We met Shelley when we were in law school with Mark and later at Parker with Michael. Shelley always...

I did not know them well. They were, however, guests at every family celebration of my sister and brother-in-law,Tom and Robin Ringel. I know how much Mark and Shelley meant to them, so I know how special they must have been. They take a piece of you with them when they go, but they leave a bit of themselves behind. That is why it hurts, but there is still room for comfort. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Roy and Melba:
Words cannot express our feelings for your loss.We will be here for you and your family when you come home to Laguna.
Roy you helped me with my sister and the family.I will be here for you and Melba.
