Rae Ellen Baker Daw

Ellen was one of a kind - she pulled no punches, but man! she was a loyal friend who held me accountable when I veered off track. She was brilliant, hilarious, had the best laugh...and altho she stayed in touch with her Frederick friends, Texas is where she felt the most at home. So thankful for her Jim, who was her best friend. He´ll miss her, and so will those who loved her. It´s hard to say goodbye from this side of the grass but someday I plan to be your neighbor and spend eternity...

In many ways Ellie was like a mom to me. I love her so much. Such an intelligent woman. She taught me so much. Ellie made great small talk, but at midnight sitting across the table from her drinking organic coffee... that´s when she came out! Never have know anyone else like her. She is so missed.

I don´t remember what class but we shared at least 1 class in junior high I believe. I think it was 7th grade home room.
