I am saddened to hear of Tio Pale's passing. He was a great man and soldier. Thank you for your service Tio! I remember the special times our families spent together and they are great memories. Uncle Ralph (Tio Pale to us) was always happy, with a smile for everyone. I am so happy that he was able to celebrate several of his birthdays with us. We will surely miss him.

I became acquainted with Mr. Hernandez while working at the Mcallen VA Outpatient clinic. I was one of his nurses for many years. He always had a ready smile and volunteered his time and help with so many activities. He was such an exceptional person and truly led a life of service. We all loved him. May he Rest In Peace.
