RAFAEL SAFFRA

I recall Rabbi Saffra from his twenty plus years at the helm of the Rockwood Park Jewish Center in Howard Beach, NY. He was vibrant, active, bright, energetic, and a constant source of inspiration. His knowledge of both secular and religious texts was vast and seemingly endless.

He is a relic of a generation past and I am grieved by not just his passing, but by the seeming passing of a generation imbued with knowledge and steadfast principals.
