Not sure what to say?

Raj was one of the finest individuals I'll ever have the good fortune of knowing. He was the big brother I never had and together we shared many memories, both good and bad. Throughout it all, he was a solid friend, confidant, mentor, and inspiration. Even after I moved away, Raj always made the effort to keep up with me and offer a sympathetic ear, loving advice and always a well-timed joke! To the Lakhani family, Christine and all of Raj's loved ones, my deepest sympathies. You do not...

Raj's favorite saying "can't we all just get along" was occasionly spoken, and always appropriate, when life presented unpleasant circumstances. But, these words were always mixed with laughter and smiles. He truely believed in ideals such as world peace, love your fellow man, and the rewards of altruism. His kindness, and light spirit is a legacy that I know will endure through the many that he met. He was the teacher, and we were the students. I loved Raj as a brother, and will always...

Raj the fisherman

Raj the educator

It has been a week since I learned of Raj's passing and I am still in a state of disbelief. I first met Raj in the ninth grade and we became the best of friends. Almost all of my fondest memories of high school include Raj. One of my favorites was the time Raj, Alan Shaw, John McDuffie and I made a video for an extra act we wrote for the play "Death of a Salesman". It was our junior year in Mrs. Gorman's english class and Raj played a sympathetic bartender and as usual stole the show. At...

I grew up Raj from College Downs and attended college with him at N.C. State. He was a great friend and I send my deepest sympathies.

In this time of sadness, may your heart be filled with memories of love. My deepest sympathy.

My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Christine, the Lakhani family, and all of Raj's many, many friends. Raj was one of the most generous and loving people I have ever met. He will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

I just remembered the evening 14 years ago in the middle of the week, Raj made the trek 30 miles to spend my birthday with me. He was a special guy and went out of his way for friends. He made me laugh, most of all. Just being in his presence lightened up the world and made us forget about the unimportant things. He was a genuinely kind person. Raj recently met my grandmother and Brooke and my engagement party, and made a wonderful impression on her.
