RAJNA OTIC (NEE MITROVIC) SCHERERVILLE, IN
Rajna Otic (nee Mitrovic), age 74, of Schererville, formally of Whiting, peacefully passed away on January 7, 2013. Loving mother of Olivera "Vera" of Schererville, Momcilo "Mike" of St. John, Svetlana "Suzy" (Torge) Goderstad of Denver, CO; adored grandmother of James and Ian Otic and Torge, Tatiana, Trinity, and Trond Goderstad; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews in Serbia and Kumovi. Rajan is preceded in death by her parents Nikola and Ruza Mitrovic and brother, Trifko, in Serbia. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Schererville with V. Rev. Dobrivoje Milunovic officiating. At rest, Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Friends are invited to visit with Rajna's family on Thursday, January 10, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Solan & Pruzin, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville. Pomen prayer service Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Rajna loved to play bingo at her nursing facility and was often the first one at the table. She also loved to knit while watching the Cubs. The holidays will never be the same without receiving a pair of mom's knitted "footies" for Christmas. She was a kind loving lady and will be missed by all of us.
