Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Aunt Raksa. With love, her niece, Karen

She was my aunt. I met rarely. Only when she came to Finland to meet us. I admired her. She was one of us in many ways

I still think of Aunt Raksa often, with affection. She was one of the most unusual, most artistic and talented, most stylish-in-her-own-way, of all the people I have known.

Rakel was my Aunt Raksa, the wife of my mother's brother Bill--my Uncle Bill. I saw the two of them so seldom that each occasion was very special. I loved them both, and in fact I would say that as a child I had something of a crush on them both. It is lovely to see this photo of Raksa as a young woman. Rakel shared amazing stories about life in Finland during WWII. I am grateful to have known her.
