With Ralph, Liz & Beth at the London Olympic games (2012)

Mr. Bender was a fine, friendly gentleman and my employer in 1984 & 1985. I will always appreciate the opportunity he gave me.

RIP my friend...Thanks for being part of my life.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Liz, We are so saddened to hear of Ralph's death. He was one of those guys with so much energy you expect him to be around forever. He had a great, easy smile, gave so much of himself. You two were so good together - it was clear the deep affection you had for each other. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family on your loss.

I had the honor to meet Ralph when I was a volunteer on the Alamo Honor Flight #3. Ralph was an absolute joy to be with and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to know him, if only for a few days. Those few days gave me memories for a lifetime.

Alamo Honor Flight

He was a very special man. The times he and I spent alone...traveling to sporting events, talking while he made soldiers for his chess set, driving to new developments, allowing me to get involved in every sport imaginable, with him by my side...were the best times! He always is in my heart...in my mind; and, will always be in my memories. I love him so much and will continue to always think of him.
