Not sure what to say?

As previously stated, Coach Cavalucci took us to the State Championship in 1972 in which we were winners. Coach was tough and innovative, and expected our best. One game, at home, we were not playing out best. At half time, we always went into the locker room, to get rest and rehydrate. Coach took us behind the stadium. Had our offense & Defense line up, and yelled. Go "LIVE". This was unheard of, but we did and we got the message. We played much better 2nd half and won the game. ...

I am very sorry to hear this sad news. It was my privilege to play on Coach's first St. Cecilia teams in the early 60s. He was tough and demanding, but knew how to get us ready for game day. I remember his intensity and that rare, treasured laugh. I learned many life lessons from Coach Cavalucci and Coach Sgro. Mostly I remember thinking that if I can do this (play football for them), I can do anything.

My brother Art Cosgrove played for the Saints and was part of the legendary 1968 team. Art told me that Coach Cavalucci was an amazing football coach who had the team so well drilled and practices were so demanding that by Sunday the players were actually looking forward to playing because the preparation was so demanding that the game was actually easier. Cavalucci was also way, way ahead of his time with the "no huddle" offense. As a young boy growing up I idolized the Saints and Coach...

Thank you coach Cavalucci for all the great memories of St Cecilia football. You made us all feel like champions and dedicated teammates. The world has lost a great man and teacher. May he rest in peace.

Ralph, I was very sorry to learn of the passing of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear about the passing of a great man and a great coach. I had the good fortune to start my coaching career with Coach and the 1968 Undefeated Saints Football Team. The lessons I learned from Coach Cavalucci have stayed with me for more than 40 years of coaching, and for most of my adult life. Sorry I couldn't have been there for the service. He will be remembered and missed by many and will be in our prayers.

To Cathy and family,

I am so sorry for you loss. All my prayers and condolences.

I had the great opportunity to coach with Ralph for 4 years at Pascak Valley, his dedication and work ethic, came through in his players and staff as his record shows. Rest in peace Coach Cav.
