Ralph A. Cianci WIND GAP Ralph A. Cianci, 84, of Wind Gap, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Georgia P. (Chisesi) Cianci; they celebrated 23 years of marriage on Aug. 27, 2017. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Dec. 15, 1933, he was the son of Rose (Caterisano) Oren. He was a 1951 graduate of Easton High School, and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retiring, Ralph was employed by the former Alpha Press, where he was a trouble shooter of hydraulic machinery. He was an active member of St. Brigid's Episcopal Church, Nazareth. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 724, Wind Gap, Pen Argyl Republican Club, and the Wind Gap Fire Co., where he served with the Fire Police. He was an avid Easton High School football and wrestling fan and enjoyed playing softball, golf and shooting pool. In addition to his wife, Georgia, he is survived by two grandchildren, Michael Cianci and his girlfriend, Jennie, and Megan Hnizdo and her husband, Dan, a great-granddaughter, Lucy Hnizdo, a sister, Marie A. Torquati of Palmer Township, two stepsons, Dennis Andrews of Easton and Billy Andrews of California, and he was blessed with many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cianci, and a sister, Margaret. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Brigid's Episcopal Church, 310 Madison Ave., Nazareth. There will be viewing hours Thursday evening beginning at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl, and Friday beginning at 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Wind Gap Fire Co., 549 East West Street, Wind Gap, PA 18091. Every time I had the opportunity to talk with Ralph he displayed his tremendous ability to make people feel good, to make people laugh and to provide such great support for anything I was either doing or planning to do in my life.
