Dear Ralph,
I was saddened to hear of your passing. You battled cancer with unfailing courage and spirit. You will be remembered by so many in our community as a fine teacher, an inspiring coach, and a mentor to so many young people, including three in our family. It has been teachers like you who have given our school system the reputation that makes our community so desirable. In reflecting on our long association many late night telephone conversations well after midnight...

So sorry for your loss. Ralph was a very special man, whom I was fortunate to be acquainted with through my late husband, Steve, who filmed football for him, and my 3 sons, who played for him, and may have been taught by him. They learned way more than football from him: core values and sportsmanship. He will will be missed, and a very fine man is gone.

Ralph was the heart of BBHMS for all his years there. Whether in the classroom, on the football field, leading the Washington, D.C. trips, or just walking the halls he always put the needs of kids first . It was a privilege to be his colleague and friend. He will always be counted as one of my life's blessing.
