Not sure what to say?

Thank you for opening my eyes you will be truly missed

I grew up next door to Mr. Ralph Epperson. My Aunt Faye Burgess and I sang on his early station when it was still located in his home located in Ararat Va. My Aunt Faye burgess sang and played the pump organ on WPAQ many times in the early days. We were honored to receive a copy of her playing and Mr. Epperson commenting concerning her appearance on his program. God Bless. We will be seeing you when we all get home together. Best wishes to Stuart and the Family.

To the family of Ralph Epperson, I was always a loyal listener to, Ralph when ever I would tune in to the “Blue ridge Spotlight” and, in the several telephone conversations I with him, he will be a truly missed gentleman in the radio community. He took a special interest in me because I could receive WPAQ from such a far away distance (Around 175 Mi.) and we both felt good, Ralph felt good about his radio station and I felt good because I could receive it. He was quite a man. My prayers go...

All of us are truly saddened by the news of Ralph Epperson's passing. I met Ralph several times and worked with his daughter Debby and others at WPAQ and WBRF. Any time I visit these radio stations I get a feeling that it is "family" there, and that is good. I think that is because Ralph instilled that feeling over the decades to his employees. Ralph even came to some shows at the Downtown Cinnemma in Mount Airy when my group, the VW Boys performed and I remember what an honor it was to...

I am honored to say I knew Ralph and the Epperson family when I worked at WPAQ radio in the mid-60s-early 70s. A truer kinder gentleman in every sense of the word will be hard to find. A humble and down to earth man who said to me in the course of a recent phone conversation " John, you've really made my day by calling." He knew how to make a person feel important! The world has lost a great person but we are all that much better for him being here.
Thank you Ralph. Love to the...

Ralph was a true original who will be missed by all. I only met him a few times, but always thought fondly of him and WPAQ. My best wishes to the family.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Kelly, the Epperson family and all the employees at the radio stations on the death of Mr. Epperson. My heart went out for Robbie Ernhart as she was trying to tell his obituary. I didn't know him personally, although I felt I did. We were honored last summer to have him and Earlene attend the "Pickin On Front Porch" at Lowgap Community Center at which my brother(Wendell Cockerham) played in and also thought so much of him. I appreciate all Mr...

I offer my sympathy to the family at this time of sorrow but can rejoice that Brother Ralph is at home with the Lord. May the Lord bless you all.

To the Family Of Ralph Epperson:
You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. We want to say how much we appreciate all Mr. Epperson did for the music we all love. We are very grateful. Sincerely, Sandy & Richard Pardue
