Not sure what to say?

One of the most knowledgeable, wisest, gracious and yet humble people I have worked with. Gabriel DellaPiana

Jay and I were in high school together in Long Creek. One summer, I think it was 1940, he, another friend and I went to Pendleton to work in pea harvest. Jay's grandfather cooked and cared for us at the Farrow family home on Squaw Creek near Gibbon. We worked twelve hours a day, from 6 to 6 with no time off for lunch. Fun summer. World War II came along and our paths parted, he to the Navy and I to the Marines. Last time I saw him was in my travel trailer in Long Creek about ten years ago...

Marty,

I am so sorry for your loss. I read through the obit in the Oregonian today (through a link sent out, as you know, by Sam). Marty, I can't tell you how taken I was by Ralph's story. It's a beautiful account of an expanding life, of continued elaboration of a good man's personal and professional life and his life and place in the community.

I wish now that I had known your Ralph.

I send you my best hopes for your future. May your pain ease...

Marty, I am shocked and so very sorry for your loss. I will be in touch. You are in my prayers.

Love, Nancy

Our prayers are with you Marty, may your memories sustain you.

We are so sorry to hear of Ralph's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Marty.

Although I did not know Ralph Farrow, Jr., personally, the fact that Marsha took him as her husband is enough to convince me that he must have been a wonderful person. I grew up just a few houses away from Marsha, we went through school together and I would like to offer her my condolences at the loss of her husband, Ralph.

Marty,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow. God Bless.

This is a first to acknowledge via E-mail. But know that our hearts are with you and we have had you in mind all week.
We know it is a bad time, not easy, but a good time. For the difficult fight is over and peace is here.
With heavy hearts and a great big hug. We'll see you soon.
