Ralph Walter, 96, passed from this life into eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 28, 2008 in Mesa, AZ. Ralph was born in Dodge City, KS June 20, 1912 to Aner Elizabeth Winders Huston and Harry Kuno Frankenstein. He grew up and attended school in Alexander, KS and lived in other small KS towns helping his father in farming. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 1/2 years during WWII in North Africa and Southern Italy where he was wounded and sent back to the states. On April 26, 1947 he married Juanita Barton in Wichita, KS. They lived in Arkansas City, KS where Ralph worked for Sinclair Oil stations and Lemert Wholesale. Ralph moved his family to Mesa in 1962 where he worked for Central Beauty Supply until retiring in 1973. For the past 5 1/2 years Ralph had been a resident of Home Sweet Home residential care home. The family wishes to give special thanks to all of his wonderful caregivers there. Ralph is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 62 years, Juanita; daughters, Rebecca (Edward) Howard of Mesa, AZ and Alane Franklin of Sparks, NV. Three grandsons, Jeff (Crystal) Howard of Phoenix, AZ, Jason Howard of Mesa, AZ and Jon (Stephanie) Howard of Mesa, AZ; eight great-grandchildren, Terra and Madison Howard of Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca Howard and Amanda Landgren of Eagle Lake, MN, Claire, Anna, Sam and Abbey Howard of Mesa, AZ; and one great-great-grandchild, Malaya Howard of Phoenix, AZ. Services are to be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ with visitation 1 hour prior.
