Not sure what to say?

Robin has to be my favorite blueberry customer. She also has to be one of my favorite board members at the Mt. Hood Town Hall. Having met her grandfather a few times, I had no idea of the depth of her family's legacy until now. Since reading about his life and accomplishments, and since I serve on the board of the Hood River Electric Co-Op; I can fully appreciate his contributions to the development of the high voltage grid in the Pacific Northwest. What a legacy for us to know.

Ralph exemplifies the best of his generation. I knew him as the father of Gens, the grandfather of Renee and Robin and an outstanding, intelligent, amazing human who created a family extraordinaire through his immediate relatives, his coworkers, his friends, the children of his friends, the friends of his children and almost all he met. Because of his willingness to embrace all generations he will be missed and remembered long after the last of his generation has departed.

We have had a wonderful almost 20 yrs. of having Ralph in our family. He married Arlita, my mother-in-law later in life and their relationship enriched all of our lives. He encouraged family stories, game nights, theatre, and nights of music around the piano. And for me, Ralph and I shared our love of pickled herring and it spilled over to skeptics who eventually shared our culinary obsession. I will always raise my pickled herring to you Ralph. RIP.

My thoughts and prayers were with you today, as Uncle Ralph was laid to rest! What a legacy he left!

Rest In Peace with Grace & Blessings!

Ralph was an engineers engineer. He was a first class Chief Engineer and BPA was fortunate to have him. His bio speaks for him. He had to overcome struggles when he was young and his expertise was wanted as he matured. A real success story. I've known Ralph for many years but did not know his early life. I started Washington High School the year he graduated. I liked talking to Ralph, I will miss that. My condolences to the family. Ray Foleen
