Ralph Graves, "Radio Star", was filled with music, overflowing through WTJU. Thank you for concentrating on under appreciated composers! I hope your talking with all your favorites up there!

Ralph Graves' radio show, Gamut, was a lifeline to those of us wanting to listen to classical music in central Virginia; once, the only composition I could hear by Pulitzer prize winning composer Christopher Rouse played on Gamut. This happened again & again for years, atestament to Ralph's knowledge and perseverance in spreading "the word" that classical music is still alive and vibrantly well. Ralph was an amazing individual to work with at Nimbus Communications. I was able to learn so much from him about classical music and enjoyed his love of trivia. He was a calming force and source of humor for our small group, no matter the circumstances. Our co-workers and Board of Directors in the UK had great respect for Ralph and enjoyed their visits to the US in great part because of him. He wrote liner notes anyone could appreciate. Like so many others, I have missed his voice on WTJU.
