LETART — Ralph Basil Greene, 90, of Letart, passed away February 8, 2018 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born October 6, 1927 in Arbuckle, a son of the late George Lesley and Sybil (Herdman) Greene.

He was retired from the Mason County Board of Education as a bus driver with 50 years of service. He was employed by the town of New Haven as a trash truck operator and was a former milk truck driver. Ralph was a former member of the Civil Defense and enjoyed fishing and mechanic work.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Donna Faye (McClure) Greene; sons, Robert Lee Greene of Hartford, Huling Lesley Greene (Nancy) of Hartford, Dave F. Greene (Sara Gilley) of Letart; brothers, Kenneth Greene (Norma) of Hartford and George Greene of Hartford; sister, Ellen Rife (Charles) of Middleport, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert Wayne Greene and Steven Lee Greene and his wife Jessica; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Nicole Greene and Tyler Evan Greene.

Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Letart. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements provided by Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason. Condolences may be shared with the family at: castofuneralhome.com.
