Not sure what to say?

Brother I indeed do miss you. You were my idol, ny friend, and above all some one that I respected very=very much. A true brother in arms.

Hillis was my very dear brother who I loved very much!!!. He was so loved by my whole family-Dale, Gary, Angie, Maegan, Garrett, Marice and Nina. Dale& I so enjoyed the last visit he had at our home with JoAnne, Cindy and Charles. We had so much fun and remembered old times and planned for some new ones. You will always be in our hearts and memories. Thanks for being my wonderful brother I love you "Hitty" forever!!!!! Pat Dale & family

I have so many warm and wonderful memories of a man who could fill a room with love. As I reflect back on the loss of my husband Larry, it was my extraordinary friend Cindy who flew to be by my side and held me up when the loss was so heavy. What a gift. As you travel to Washington D.C. to say your final farewell, know that Ralph was held in the highest esteem of so many.I am honored to have had my life enriched by the gentle spirit of Ralph H. Groover Jr.

Dear Aunt Joanne,
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Hillis. It appears, over the years, he has become known as Ralph, so that shows you how long it's been. Even though it's been several years since our last visit, I've thought of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.
With Love & Sympathy to you and family,
Linda Hodges Dixon

Jo: Matt sent me the obit from the Orlando paper. I'm so sorry to hear of Ralph's passisng but I take joy in remembering the many good times we all had - bowling, going to night school, and eating. My love and prayers to all of you.

Ralph was a dear! I have fond memories of Ralph as a great Rotarian friend and charter member of the Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips. He is best known as a great soldier and patriot. We are so proud of our representative World War II veteran.

I will not forget his adventure in Washington D.C with Joe Simmons. The pictures and stories that came back are great. The best is their impromtu class for the students visiting the World War II memorial. What a thrill for those students to...

Ralph touched so many hearts along the way with his kindness and made me a better person for knowing him. It was my pleasure to have called him my friend.

"Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." (Douglas MacArthur)

But it will take more than time to 'fade' the impression Ralph made on his family and many, many friends. He will be missed, but not soon forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
