Not sure what to say?

Mary and the rest of the Ivy family, I am sorry for you loss!

I just heard of Dr. Ivy’s passing. I am so sorry. Dear Ivy Family, I grieve for your loss and mine. Your father was always so kind to me. He took care of me when I needed to be taken care of and he never asked for anything in return. He is an example to me of what a good and decent man should be.
Respectfully,

Dearest Cathy,

May you and your entire family embrace the lovely memories of your father who has now joined your beloved mother in heaven. With love, respect,& deepest sympathy for your loss, you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Your friend & high school classmate, Cindie Madrid Flaack

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.

Thank you for such sweet and kind messages and stories of Daddy.

Dr. Ivy's death brings back a flood of memories, of being a part of a children's choir singing a Requiem Mass upon the death of a baby, of having a terrible crush on a daughter, of being invited to a pool party on Tyler Street in 1961 as a...
