Not sure what to say?

So sorry to see that Ralph has passed away. We met and dated through the Lakewoid Coed group many years ago when we werre young and carefree. Our condolences to the family.

I first met Ralph in 1969. We both worked at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. We were intellectually very close and became good friends for many years, almost like brothers. I have been thinking about him now for several days.

I remember we used to play tennis together quite often. I recall how worried he was about his father, and how concerned he was for his mother.

I am sorry I am writing this so late. I found out about his death in the past couple weeks.

Ralph was a kind person and I miss seeing him at the Solon Library. I always would talk to him about his love of the Cleveland Indians and I would also enjoy his views of what is taking place in the world. I miss him and I am deeply saddened to know of his passing.

Ralph was a mentor to me, a spiritual guide and a friend. I learned from his kindness and intelligence. Something he wrote to me once seems appropriate here: the Lord hears the "fervent prayers of the righteous" (from James). May his memory be for a blessing, and may those closest to him find comfort.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. May the hope of everlasting life sustain and comfort you during this difficult time. (John 17:3)

I

I knew Ralph from computer classes at the Solon branch of the Cuyahoga County public library. We saw each other almost daily ( for the past 2-4 years) at the computer stations---to talk Cleveland sports, particularly the Indians --also politics and the "state of the nation/world" . He was a fine gentleman---I was shocked to learn of his death and I will miss him. Sincerely, George R.Bakalar
