I'm sorry I couldn't be at the wake for
" Mackie".
Like everyone from Grand Crossing, I remember "Mackie" with fond memories. He love to go to the dances with the "guys", shoot pool, play cards, play softball and just enjoy our "great park." We all did! Without "St. Francis De Paul" and our Park, where would we poor kids go. It's a
wonder we all survied the long depression.
So many of our Dads couldn't find work at all...
