I met Ralph at Putnam City Baptist Church where we both attended in about 1965. He served as a chaperone or counselor when we went to Falls Creek where I got to know him better. For the time, he seemed to listen to young people more than most adults and seemed genuinely interested in our lives.Though he always seemed quite conservative, I was always impressed with him when he told me how he quit his very stable IBM position and invested his life savings into a little known entity called...

Ralph and Helen opened their home to those of us who attended Putnam City Baptist Church. I was in high school then. We always had a great time, sitting on the floor, listening to Ralph share God's word. It was a wonderful time in my life. Little did I know how those weekly meetings were guiding my life to a life-time of service to God. Thank you, Ralph and Helen, for being available to help a scatter-brained young lady find her purpose.

I was seventeen years old and attending youth camp with the Putnam City youth group at Falls Creek. It was the summer of 1967. Bro. Mason, out of the blue, approached me and asked me if I had ever considered being a preacher. I was dumbfounded! "No, sir" I replied. He said, "You need to really pray about it." I did. Dear Helen and family, We were so sorry to hear of Ralph's passing.He was a supreme example of a truly Godly man in every aspect of his life.
