     Mr. Ralph Ronald Monroe (Ronnie), age 70, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Hospice of Texarkana surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of Nancy Monroe, whom he shared thirty-five years of marriage with. He was born on May 8, 1947, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Ralph Rutland Monroe and Juanita Vivian Lynn of Fordyce, Arkansas, where he grew up. He was a Navy Veteran and worked for Coleman/Turners/Hiland Dairy for thirty-five years.



     He enjoyed taking his wife out for lunch, spending time with family, drinking coffee with his buddies, football, NASCAR, and anything the grandkids were doing.



     He will be remembered for his beautiful heart and charming smile, being a devoted husband, loving father, the BEST POPS, and wonderful friend.



     Ronnie is survived by his wife, Nancy Monroe of Texarkana, Arkansas, his children, Bryan Monroe (Dennis Gates) of Hot Springs, North Carolina, Stacy Dobson (Todd Dobson) of Fouke, Arkansas, James Cagle of Pensacola, Florida, and Dena Monroe Knight (Daniel Knight) of Mobile, Alabama, grandchildren, Justin Patman, Kaitlyn Lackey (Tim Lackey), Elishua Monroe, Jacob Patman, Jackson Knight, Destiny Cagle, Dalton Cagle, Jesse Cagle, and River Dobson, two great grandchildren, whom he adored, Ryker and Lawson Lackey, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Juanita Monroe and only brother, Jerry Lynn Monroe.



     Memorial services will be at 5:00 P. M. Thursday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Bill Saxby officiating.



     The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the services.



     The family will be at the home of Todd and Stacy Dobson, 104 MC 488, Fouke, AR

I grew up with Ronnie and remember how kind and funny he was. I know what a wonderful marriage he had with Nancy and what a great father and grandfather he was. I am so sorry he is gone. Prayers are going up for his family.

Each time I saw you together, I always thought of your devotion to each other. I know you are grateful for your time together, but I know you will miss him greatly. With sympathy.
