All things bright and beautiful,
All humans great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all
for over 80 glorious years.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Otten at MSUCOM- he was a great clinical physician, the consummate classroom teacher, and a kind, caring advisor and mentor to medical students and colleagues alike. We were all fortunate to have him in our lives. he leaves a powerful legacy among his countless students, patients, colleagues, friends, and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Thoughts and prayers to the family, sorry for your loss Brian and Brenda Fridd

Dr. Otten taught me Cardiology at MSUCOM. He was an excellent teacher and a caring human being. As such, he was honored by my 1982 graduating class by asking him to "hood" us during our graduation ceremony; an honor bestowed upon him by many graduating classes. My condolences to his family.

Deepest sympathy to Dr Otten family during this difficult time. Dr Otten was highly respected and so compassionate to his patients. The staff at JOH admired his kind nature and dedication. I still look for him as I pull out my driveway, as he jogged down Creglow Dr in years passed. Rest in Paradise, good doctor!

So sorry to hear about Dr Otten passing. He was my professor at MSU COM, class of 2000. He was an exellent teacher, his lectures were always crystal clear. He was one of the influences for my decision to go into Internal Medicine and to teach medical students. I will always remember him with warm feelings and appreciation. My condolences!
