Not sure what to say?

You will always be remembered not only as a great doctor but a wonderful person.

Dr. Ralph was extremely kind and helpful to me and a fun fellow, too. He cared most about his family. What an earnest, fine fellow. God rest his wonderful soul. My condolences to Betty and his vibrant children. Michael Patrick Shiels [email protected]

I think Ralph was an intern at Oakwood Hospital when I was a radiology resident back in the early 1980s. I remember how, when he was on-call, he always seemed to have twice as many patients to care for as the other interns. He was always on the move helping, putting out fires, and stepping on toes that needed to be stepped on. He had so much energy and cared so much - not just about the patients (they were all his patients) but also about the nurses and staff caring for the patients. I'm...

Dr. Ralph Raper, was one of the kindest doctors I'd met at Oakwood Hospital. I could never say enough nice things about this man. We met when I worked in anesthesia and he was doing his medical residency. He had the kindest heart and he would talk to everyone, it never matter if you worked in housekeeping the kitchen or you were a nurse or doctor. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. I'm going to miss having you as my doctor. You took excellent care of me when I had trouble with my...

Dr rapper was my dr for many years,he was very easy to talk with alway took his time to take care of me to the best of his ability.I will miss him very much one of a kind in his professiona.

I am a nurse that has w irked with Dr Raper For many years at the hospital, He was never too busy to say hello and ask about my family. He was always kind and never condescending. He showed his caring for the staff, his patients and our community. This is a great loss for all of us. He will be dearly missed.

It is a loss for humanity in general! I met Dr. Raper when we entered WSU medical school in 1978. It was clear to me from the very start that he was going to be a dedicated care giver. There are certain individuals who has such a gift and it can be seen early on. He was a humble, hard working student who stood out because he wanted to take care of his community and his patients. I lost a dear colleague and friend, and the world has lost a great doctor.

Dr. Raper was a one of a kind human being. He was a great physician who truly cared about all his patients. Always one to speak up, step up and go into action if something was not right. My sincere condolences to his family.
