Not sure what to say?

What I will always remember about Uncle Ralph is his unique voice and laugh. He was always glad to see me, and ask me what was new in my life. He would love to talk to me about canaries and he told me the "secret" technique my Grandpa used to hypnotize them. I will never tell, Uncle Ralph. I love you and will miss you.

Goodbye Uncle Ralph. Your generation is lost forever, but will not be forgotten.
Love, Dennis Sala

My best wishes to Uncle Ralphs family. I never told him but he was one of the reasons I joined the military. They were the "Greatest Generation" in peace and war. To have been loved by them was a blessing and a treasure. I sure miss all the noise, smiles, laughter and family conflict and everybody talking at once and too many highballs made Sala style. As I shared with Ree , what a huge hole they've left in our hearts. My love to all of you. Jr.

Uncle Ralph was a respected, loved and very strong family man. I bought my first car from him it was a 1978 Oldsmobile, and I drove the hell out of that car, it was as strong as Uncle Ralph.
The baby of the Sala family is now gone but will remain in our hearts forever. May God bless Auntie Molly, Richard and Rene and keep their hearts filled with memories and joy. May Uncle Ralph rest in peace with the rest of his family. They are all together again in that big "happy" place in the sky...

Our beloved Uncle Ralph will be missed by many. He was born in S.F. graduated from Commerce High, served in World War II and became a lathe and plaster craftsman who took part in building structures in S.F. and the Hillsdale Mall. He was the baby of the 10 Sala Children, so he was more our age, but handled himself in a very respected roll. We will all miss him, his laugh, his beautiful Orchids, his birds and his talks about his trips to the Mall for Coffee every morning. I know that all of...

A generation of Sala's has now past us by. Painful as the loss of each of them was this loss seems the greatest for he represented the trek from Malaga to Hawaii to the fields of California. He was the baby, the last born, the Sala legacy. When I was a child he was my Audy Murphy. I had/have a picture of him on some battle field with his shirt off, kneeling on one knee, with an M-1 in his hand and ribbons of bullets draped over his chest. I was so proud of him. He was my summer boss during...
