To Mr. Shook's Family,
In 1977, as a brand new, 23 year-old new hire, at Dresser Industries, I met "Mr. Shook" for the first time. In his own deep, clear, well-spoken, always grammatically correct speaking style, Mr. Shook told me then "Young Man, work hard, show even a little bit of interest in this product, and I will make sure you get all the training and support you need to be successful. The AIRETOOL product will serve you quite well in the future." I took him at his word. In early 1978, Mr. Shook (and Bob Wiseman) made good on the promise of training for 8 others and myself. Because of Mr. Shook's commitment to excellence, I fell deeply in love with the pride, preparedness, knowledge, concern for others, and professionalism of both men. Then through all the years we worked together, Mr. Shook always stood steadfast, permanently in the corners of so many of us that he trained and supported. In fact, even beyond his retirement, Mr. Shook continued to keep his professional commitment to ensure the on-going success of the many he had trained all over the country. He was a man who made a positive difference in my life and the lives of so many others. He was honorable, consistent, dedicated, and hard-working. I admire and appreciate him tremendously. My wife and I extend our warmest condolences in your loss of such a fine man.

Grandpa Ralph was the best. He was always so proud of us and would never forget to say "I love you" when we would talk to him on the phone. I will never forget the funny faces he would make at my brothers, his ability to build or fix just about anything, or how he would always jokingly ask about our love lives. He loved my grandma unconditionally and was an incredibly loving and generous grandfather. I will miss him everyday.

Ralph was a perfect father-in-law; loved his daughters and grandchildren tremendously. Will never forget his look (and the tears) when his daughter left home with me (almost 37 years ago) for sunny Florida; he was a very selfless man and will be missed.
