Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will miss our good friend and neighbor and our evenings taking the flag down.

Captain, Our Captain, thanks to your friendship and love, we will navigate our course until we meet again.

Captain, It has been an honor to know you. You are our hero. You will always be in our hearts. Carl & Lonny

Capt. Styles was a true hero and patriot. An individual that inspired many in his career and for those of us lucky enough to meet him and attend his flag ceremony. He had a good long life but it is still a hard loss for Siesta Key and certainly his family. I will miss being able to run or bike by his house and give him a wave as I always have.

He was a modern inspiration to all of us that had the chance to share his dedication to remembering the American Sprit and to those who have served in the Armed Services.

While commanding the USS Sea Devil, Cpt. Styles plucked my grandfather out of the Sea of Japan after he was forced to ditch his plane. My grandfather went on to have 5 children, 30 grandchildren, and 35+ great grandchildren, at last count. Had it not been for Cpt. Styles, I would not be alive today to thank him myself. He was a wonderful man who did so much good in this world. He will be greatly missed. My family's thoughts and prayers are with Cpt. Styles and his family.

A very special man, Bonnie and Gary warren.

You will be missed Sir!
Good Sailing!
