Ralph Wayne Wagner

Ralph W. Wagner "Wayne" of Bethlehem, PA, cherished husband, father and grandfather died peacefully Sunday, July 3rd, 2016. Ralph was born on April 29, 1933 in Easton, PA. He was the son of the late Ralph H. and Martha R. Wagner. Ralph is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Gail (Swoyer) Wagner, who died in 2014. Ralph graduated from Pen Argyl Area High School and Lafayette College with a degree in Chemical Engineering and graduate management studies at Lehigh University. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. Ralph enjoyed diverse careers in chemical engineering, research and development, production management and retail entrepreneurship. He was employed by Koppers, Western Electric, Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph, Inc. and Polymer Dynamics, Inc. While at Koh-I-Noor he co-patented a ventilation of stylographic pens. He founded and owned Pens et al. He was co-owner of Carl's Office Supply and Equipment and he owned Art and Drafting Connection. Ralph enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling and bridge. Along with his strong commitment to career, he treasured his country, beloved pets and his family. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, PA, where he served as a Trustee. Ralph was devoted in his faith and dedicated to those he loved. He served as a member of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, Wind Gap Free & Accepted Masons. He is survived by a daughter, Debra, wife of Rev. Dr. Robert Norris of FL, and granddaughter Megan Norris. Friends are invited to call Thursday, July 7th 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA. A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8th with a graveside service following at 1:00 p.m. in Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Twp., PA.
