Funeral for Ralph Weatherly, 57, of Decatur will be Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Maywood, Ill. with the Rev. Marlin Wiley officiating and Wallace-Broadview Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside, Ill. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home in Decatur.
Mr. Weatherly, who died Sept. 5, 2009, was born in Chicago, Ill., Aug. 11, 1952, to John D. and Mary Ann King Weatherly. Ralph graduated from Austin High School in Chicago, Ill. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was retired from General Motors with 30 years of service and moved to Decatur. He was currently employed by MCATS as a driver and Compass Bank as a security officer. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Mack Sr.; and sister, Dorothy.
Mr. Weatherly is survived by his wife, Gloria; three daughters, LaWanna, LaTrice and Lynette, all of Decatur; two sons; Crandon and Ralph, both of Chicago; his mother, Mary Ann of Maywood, Ill; one brother, Johnny (Iola) of Downers Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, Celeste Baker of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Betty Weatherly of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

May the lord keep blessing durning this time of loss, He is a very dear friend, co-worker and great fishing partner. He will be dearly missed, We spent many days on fishing trips together and now his is with the greatest fishingman of all time. We will always have your family in our prays.

I work at Compass bank and Mr weatherly was always nice to me as we come into the building every Friday. He will be missed dearly. we will keep you and your family in our prayers.
