Angelus Funeral Home - San Antonio Obituary

Ramiro “Ram” Cavazos age 66 of San Antonio passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018.  Ram retired from the San Antonio Police Department after 21 years of service.  He worked the DWI and Traffic Divisions; but it was his love for the motorcycle that allowed him to wear his uniform proudly.  He was awarded the Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission in April of 2002.  After retirement, he returned to work for the City of San Antonio for another 10 years as a civilian in the Communications Department.

Ram was preceded in death by his parents: Vicente Cavazos and Hilaria Trevino Cavazos; and a sister, Teresa Medrano.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dora Martinez Cavazos; children: Lori Cavazos Sada (Joseph Sada), Michelle Cavazos (Angelica Cavazos), Vincent Cavazos (Priscilla Cavazos); grandchildren: Cayla Sada, Justin Sada, Braeden Sada, Sebastian Cavazos, Vincent J. Cavazos and Camila Cavazos.

condolences to the cavazos family, I worked with ram on the eastside. his sense of humor made the shift go by faster. he was a good worker and cover man. I will miss my friend.

Ram was a kind man. He told me how to make an enchilada dish , rancho something . But it was good. Now when i make it I will always think of Ram. But what was funny, when he came to communications, he said he was a traffic officer. I told him he looked like he was mean, He laughed , and i knew then yes he was . God rest his soul. For i know he's doing traffic in Heaven. My condolence to Mrs. Cavazos and the Family. Rest in peace Ram.

My condolences to the family. Prayers for peace and comfort.
